In early American times, heart pine was used by colonists for everything from flooring to stair treads, paneling to interior trim. Builders during the Industrial Revolution discovered this beautiful wood's other unique quality - unusual durability. Unfortunately, its famous popularity also brought about its demise. The early twentieth century saw a virtual extinction of this mature bearer of true heart pine.

Thanks to the efforts of E.T. Moore Manufacturing, Inc., Heart Pine is still available today.

In business since 1969, E.T. Moore is now the largest producer of vintage heart pine products. No other company is as integrated from salvage to production to marketing as we are. Unheard of in the vintage timber industry, our 5-acre site with 3 acres indoors enables us to process orders in two weeks or less. We stock three warehouses, offering over one hundred products that include flooring, exposed beams, stair parts, paneling and authentic mouldings. Packaging and loading for your shipment are done free of charge. Our volume of shipments allows you to take advantage of discounted freight rates.

We at E.T. Moore are recovering the beauty of this cultural legacy for American homes, offices, restaurants and public buildings. As old mills and factories are brought down, we salvage and re-mill the heart pine beams, releasing the natural warmth and character of heart pine's rich patina, bringing new life to this noble American wood.
